Jetty Rae weaves Soul, Folk, and Lyricism into a beautiful tapestry of notes. Her sound could be compared to female artists such as Norah Jones, Adele, and Fiona Apple, but it is her instrument of song, which sets her apart. Her voice is her first instrument. Her guitar, is her second! She draws you in almost instantly, in a very intimate, human way -- with lyrics that are definitely written by an "Old Soul." Jetty’s eclectic set of influences, such as Count Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy, Patty Griffin, and Lauryn Hill, coupled with her life experiences living in China, Hawaii and Fiji, become apparent through her penetrating vocals and lyrics rooted in Love, Life, and Faith. She has opened for other great bands and artists, such as "Steppin In It", Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, The Ragbirds and Rachel Davis. Jetty has also performed as a main act in a number of festivals, including "Big Ticket", Michael Moore's "Traverse City Film Festival", and Bliss Fest! She currently resides in Michigan and is in the works for her next album "Chasing of The Wind." Her first album “Blackberries”, can be found on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Amiestreet and Napster. I was at my man Bavu's crib, this past Sunday (3/22/09),
for a WONDERFUL, LOVING, FAMILY-ORIENTED!, 'GOD BLESSED the Sky this day', Barb-Q!!

And UNBEKNOOOOOOOOOOOWNST to me,
in walks in a Lovely, Wholesome, Charismatic, Beautifully LIGHT-SKINNED!, KIND-Hearted, Mother (of like two or three!)

I say "hello" in passing, because OFCOURSE my Life, is So much more important than any other business at hand...

And so, I cake on the phone, on the front porch for HOURS, and nightfall creeps upon us!

I stay out there, long enough, to eventually see this Woman, and all of her aforemetioned "Greatness" leave!
